Twerk Troupe Auditions

The mission of the twerk crew is to create a safe space for women where we can explore our feminity, our sensuality and our "badass" side, as well as show Montreal what twerking is all about!

Through our practices, we'll work on becoming better twerkers and dancers, fine-tuning our twerking and performance skills, and outdoing ourselves, all in a friendly, non-competitive vibe with the goal of having fun above all else. If you've got a special talent, such as flexibility or gymnastics, we'll showcase it! The vibe is truly collaborative, with everyone pitching in their ideas.

AUDITIONS PROCESS:

I'll start by telling you a little more about the troupe. Then you'll introduce yourselves one by one, and we'll move on to the choreography. You'll learn a twerk choreography that you'll perform at the end as a group. No stress, I just want to see your personality, your interest and your motivation to join the troupe!

UPCOMING PROJECTS & ACTIVITIES: ​

• Refine your technique and learn new moves
• Learn twerk choreographies perfect them, and learn your placements
• Participate and perform at dance conventions and festivals, such as the Montreal Salsa Convention, the Montreal Heels Festival and the Montreal Bachata Festival
• Perform at dance events such as Baila Con Gusto
• Possibility of taking part in dance competitions if we want to as a group

Open to all levels! Previous twerk or dance experience required.
